What we collect
When you use Social Engage, we collect:
- Account info — your name, email, and profile picture from Google sign-in.
- LinkedIn post content — the text of posts you click Generate on. This is sent to our server to generate comments and is not stored after the response is returned.
- Usage data — how many comments you generate, which features you use. This helps us improve the product.
- Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
What we don't collect
- We don't access your LinkedIn account or credentials.
- We don't read your LinkedIn messages or connections.
- We don't store the content of posts you comment on.
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
How we use your data
- Generate AI comments when you click Generate.
- Track your usage to enforce daily limits and trial credits.
- Process payments through Stripe.
- Improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns.
Third-party services
- AI processing — LinkedIn post text is sent to a third-party AI service to generate comments. The text is processed in real-time and not stored by the AI provider.
- Supabase — hosts our database and authentication. Subject to Supabase's privacy policy.
- Stripe — processes payments. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics — tracks anonymous usage on our website. You can opt out using browser extensions.
Chrome extension permissions
The extension requests access to linkedin.com only. It reads the text content of LinkedIn posts when you click Generate. It does not access any other websites or browser data.
Data retention
Your account data is kept as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days. Generated comments are not stored — they are returned to your browser and discarded.
Your rights
You can:
- Request a copy of your data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard.
